Tips for Becoming a Successful Property Agent

Tips for Becoming a Successful Property Agent

Like any other profession, being a property broker also needs a process to be successful. Principles such as hard work, smart work, sincere work and thorough work need to be held by everyone who wants to be successful in the property business, including being a property broker. Whoever you are, whether you are interested in becoming a property broker or not, maybe you can apply some or all of the following tips, in your business, profession and career.

First tip is Begin to understand, what is property. Often times we talk about the word property, but don't know what is included in the property. whereas we often deal with property, with or without us knowing it. When we talk about property, it includes land, warehouses, houses, apartments, shop houses, boarding houses, factories, gas stations, hotels, etc. So the land and everything that stands on it we call property. When we mention property, maybe at first we will think, the only boundaries are houses, shop houses and boarding houses. That's what happened to me in the beginning, but as I started getting into property, I began to understand that a lot of property and businesses were on it. Understanding property, of course, cannot be based on theory alone. We need to practice, discuss, promote and engage to understand more.

Second tip Try property transactions. If possible you can transact yourself, or as if you were going to transact. This is also an interesting experience, because you will be introduced to terms that you did not understand before. When I transacted property for the first time, I bought a house for 14 million rupiah. There I started getting to know a Notary, to validate my buying and selling process with a binding and sale purchase certificate (AJB). When I transacted larger properties, I began to know taxes for both the seller and the buyer. There are terms PPH for sellers and BPHTB for buyers. When you become a property broker, you need to understand these terms first.

Third tip Try to be a referral. Before you work as a professional broker, you can become a Refferral alias in collaboration with a professional property broker from International Brands such as Century21, Ray White, ERA or others. With cooperation, you can get knowledge from your partner. You also don't have to spend too long, when you are just starting out and can't expect a steady income from this profession. By becoming a referral, you only need to find the property for sale, the owner and meet partners who are professional brokers. So you can hear what the professional broker and owner are talking about. You can get free knowledge right?

Fourth tip  Join a property brokerage company. Each brand will provide training, to equip you with various aspects of knowledge in property, so that you deserve to meet the owner, buyer and other parties who will help your transactions such as notaries and banking parties.

The fifth tip is to  increase the listings. Like any other business, a Property Broker sells a product or service. So our products are houses, boarding houses, shop houses, factories, gas stations, etc. so from now on, put your eyes and ears, to own and multiply merchandise. When you know a property is for sale, pump your courage, meet them. Ask as if you are a buyer who really wants to know the details of their property, then tell them politely, your services help sell their property, so that it is sold faster.

Sixth tip  Multiply friends. Multiply friends, who know your new profession. often friends are people who will give us free information as well as them as our referrals. You can multiply friends by participating in social activities, communities, placing advertisements in newspapers, the internet, social media and many other ways. What is clear is that when you have lots of friends, the more potential owners, buyers and referrals will recognize you as a professional property broker.

The seventh tip is  actually the most important thing is to keep your spirit. Many people enter a profession or business, and imagine the sweetness of income or bonuses. Quite a few of them, forget the law of process. A law that demands that we plant something before reaping the rewards.
